Some frequently asked questions:-

1. How old do I have to be to be a volunteer marshal in motorsport?
   
Sixteen upwards but....

2. What if I'm under 16?
   
Not a problem- there are various other jobs you can do to help out

3. What qualifications do I need?
   
None- just a willingness to get involved, have fun and learn about what is needed

4. What equipment must I have?
    None- however circuit marshals do buy their own overalls and you will need suitable outdoor clothing for a regular British
    summer (waterproofs!!) and stout boots- preferrably steel toe-capped

5. How much will it cost me?
    Nothing- the only thing you have to pay for is getting there and food at lunchtime, however some circuits do provide lunch

6. What do I get?
    Nothing financially, but there are other incentives and rewards. Some circuits will make a small contribution to your
    travelling costs

7. Do I have to be a member of a club?
   
No- not necessarily, but most people are and they enjoy the benefits of club membership.   

8. What are the good parts of being a marshal?
   
Everything- marshalling is brilliant because:-
            Getting into events free
            Having the best view possible and not be stuck behind a fence
            Having a great day out
            Being involved
            Learning new skills
            Meeting new people and making new friends
            Helping others and getting recognition and being appreciated

9. What are the downsides of being a marshal?
   
Come rain or shine we are stood outside ready, there can be some early mornings, but it is still a laugh anyway

10. How can I get involved and become a marshal?
     
Right now- just ask anyone in orange!!!
