     Welcome to Marshals Northwest. We are a voluntary organisation that marshals at motorsport events in the north west.
     We marshal at various circuits- Three Sisters in Wigan, Aintree in Liverpool and Oulton Park in Cheshire.

     Anyone can volunteer to be a marshal, you don't have to be an olympic athlete, but some level of fitness does help. As long
     as you can listen to instructions and be part of a team, you have nothing to fear.

     Marshals have the best view of racing and one of the toughest jobs in the sport. There are a few other jobs that give you such a     
     close up look at the racing, the riders and their skill. The hours can be long, the weather inhospitable, but the rewards are more
     than worth it.

     Latest News:-

     6th April saw the running of the 29th Annual Hoghton Tower Sprint. After the drive had thawed out nearly 150 machines 
     thundered up the drive of Hoghton Tower. 

     Results are now available- please click on the link on the left hand side. Also look in the photos section for some images of the
     day. Many thanks to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph for allowing us to reproduce some of their images on this site.

     Many people also asked us about the sprint at Aintree in July- to enter this sprint go to the Mersey Motorcycle club website at
     www.merseymotorcycleclub.co.uk 

     We have also been asked for contact details of the relevant chief marshals for each race circuit- if you need these details so you 
     can volunteer as a marshal at these circuits, drop us an email and we will send you the details.

     After our induction days at Oulton Park a couple of weeks ago, we now have lots of new members coming to marshal at circuits
     all over the north west. If you couldn't make it to one of our induction days, or if you want to marshal, contact us and we can
     arrange an induction at a circuit near you. Dont just sit on the sofa watching motorcycle racing- get involved!!!

     We meet on the first thursday of every month at the Crown Inn, Horwich at 8.30pm. You are most welcome to attend.
